Vigils

Canada Health Alliance in partnership with Vaccine Choice Canada, encourages all Canadians to gather in their communities to honour those who have lost their lives or were injured by the vaccines or mandates.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have witnessed the devastating impacts that restrictive health policies have had on individuals, businesses and communities. Many have experienced job loss, financial insecurity, increased health problems, mental illness, addiction, depression, and sadly, some have taken their own lives.

While family and friends attempt to pick up the pieces, there is little acknowledgement, accommodation or support available from the public health system. In many cases, there is no one to hear their stories or acknowledge their losses and injuries.

Many communities across Canada are stepping forward to assist in the healing process through a series of public Candlelight Vigils, where all those who have been hurt, marginalized and discredited can share their story and be supported.

For the vigil, we ask that everyone bring a candle or LED light, flowers or a photo, along with a story of a loved one who has passed or been injured. We are also asking people to share their stories on social media using the hashtag #tellyourstory.

Although our efforts can never repair what has happened, we hope that by coming together with love and compassion, we can start to heal from our experiences and grow as a community.
