SUMMARY:Meningitis and Vaccines\, What You're Not being Told
DESCRIPTION:Dr Ahmad Malik joins Ted Kuntz and Dr Stephen Malthouse to discuss meningitis and meningococcal vaccines. How common is meningitis and who is at risk? Do the vaccines prevent transmission and are they safe? Join us to find out what you may not have been told. \nGuest Bio\nDr Ahmad Malik\, a former surgeon with a passion for honesty and strong ethics\, was inspired by his father’s passing in 2018 to embark on a journey towards better health and fitness. Along the way\, he discovered vital insights often overlooked in conventional medical training\, which he now seeks to share through his podcast.\nHe recognises that navigating the torrent of conflicting health advice can be overwhelming\, yet pledges to offer candid reflections on what has truly worked for him. While he does not claim to hold all the answers or be right at every turn\, he is determined to present the most credible information possible. \nOn his podcast\, listeners will hear from a wide range of guests—high-profile public figures as well as lesser-known individuals with inspiring stories. Dr Malik believes expertise alone does not guarantee trustworthiness and is dedicated to amplifying voices that might otherwise go unheard. \nEqually committed to free speech and medical ethics\, he views achieving one’s healthiest state as the ultimate expression of personal freedom. By making well-informed lifestyle choices\, he maintains\, individuals can seize greater control over their health and ultimately lead more fulfilling lives. \nOctober 7 @ 11:00 am  – 12:30 pm PT / 12:00 pm  – 1:30 pm MT / 2:00 pm  – 3:30 pm ET / \nIt’s FREE!  Register for the Zoom event here: \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/EMars48ZQV-9UPIsXEGtgg#/registration

SUMMARY:3-Part CHA Training Course: A Better Way To Navigate Conflict: A Path to Greater Health\, Freedom and Joy
DESCRIPTION:In this very educational and empowering three part training course you will learn how to control conflict and turn it into a tool for self-discovery by understanding it\, resolving it\, and moving through it when resolution isn’t possible. \nFollowing on from our May 26th CHA-VCC National Call with Myriam which was titled\, ‘Conflicts and Health: Perspectives from a Mediator’\, this three-part course will provide an opportunity to explore in greater depth the concepts\, tools and real-life examples introduced during that presentation. \nDrawing from her experience as a lawyer and mediator\, as well as from significant conflicts in her own life\, Myriam Bohémier will explore the nature of conflict and what makes it so difficult to experience and resolve. We will examine the role our beliefs\, perceptions and frames of reference play in conflict\, and how they influence the way we interpret the same facts very differently. \nWe will then look beneath the conflict itself. What emotions\, needs and interests are being expressed? What lies beneath the positions people defend? Understanding what is really at stake can fundamentally change the way we approach both the conflict and the person in front of us. \nThis Canada Health Alliance course will explore different tools and approaches to conflict resolution and how they can help us take responsibility for our own experience\, communicate differently and create the conditions for resolution. \nFinally\, we will address the conflicts that cannot be resolved. What can we do when changing the other person or reaching a mutual resolution is simply not possible? How can we move through a conflict without allowing it to determine our state of being? This final part will explore tools for letting go of what does not belong to us\, taking responsibility for what does\, and finding greater freedom even when the conflict itself remains unresolved.\nThrough personal stories and examples drawn from mediation practice\, this course invites participants not only to better understand and resolve conflict\, but also to discover what conflict can teach us about ourselves. \n \nPRESENTERS BIO: \nMyriam Bohémier has been a lawyer for 26 years and an accredited mediator for 11 years. She served as a Commissioner with the National Citizens Inquiry\, examining the question of whether children are safe in Canada\, and is a member of the legal team of the Allison Inquiry. She is also a speaker\, author\, and member of the Board of Directors of the Canada Health Alliance. \nMyriam is also a karateka. In karate\, we thank our opponent for making us better. Over the years\, the conflicts she has faced in her own life have made her better\, leading her to explore the art of communication: listening\, naming what needs to be named\, and taking responsibility for our own state of being. Taking this responsibility is essential to being free. \nHer work as a mediator has profoundly transformed her. Beyond the words and positions expressed in a conflict\, mediation is about connecting with the human being in front of us and discovering the needs they are expressing through the conflict\, in order to help them find their own solution. \nDates: October 13th\, 20th and 27th\, 2026.\nTime of each session: 5 to 6.30 pm PT / 8 – 9.30 pm ET\nRegular train course price: $125.00 for all three weekly sessions\nDiscounted course cost: $100.00 for all three sessions for paid CHA members and members of VCC\, NHPPA\, Manitoba Stronger Together\, CCCA\, Réinfo Québec\, Reclaiming Birth Conference delegates and la Main des Enfants. \nTo purchase your tickets please send your contact details to: info@canadahealthalliance.org with ‘Navigating Conflict training enrolment’ in the subject line.
