Since graduating in 2008 with a fellowship in Integrative Medicine I have considered starting a blog or column on current topics. Now that I am aligned with many like-minded people at the CHA this is finally a reality. I am particularly happy that CHA is made up of a blend of people passionate about their health as well as healthcare professionals with the same concept. My intent is to provide information and opinion to empower others toward their optimal health through my ideas and interaction with like-minded fellow practitioners.
In keeping with my guidelines from the British Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, as agreed by virtue of repetitive meetings as of July 23, 2023, I will state this recommendation at the outset.
“The Canadian Medical Association’s Code of Ethics and Professionalism requires that a physician clearly indicates when they present an opinion that is contrary to the accepted views of the profession.
Therefore, I am required by the COPS of BC to advise you that the Government of Canada has issued a Public Advisory indicating that Ivermectin and HCQ are not authorized to prevent or treat covid-19 and may cause serious health problems.”
This recommendation is listed on College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC website under my name, which enables me to give more of my opinion, as long as I state that it is my opinion. The above statement confirms that some of my statements are opinion or my practice methods which may lie outside the British Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons regular guidelines of practice.
Many of you may know that I have recently presented three 2- hour sessions on prevalent healthcare topics encompassing concussion, headaches, and sleep, including sleep apnea. These 3 areas will follow my shungite introduction.
My hope is that Code’s Corner may be one of your main pillars for building your optimal health. In addition, I aim to further empower you to take charge of your own health. This effort on your part will enhance your well-being and that of your inner circle. Let us work towards building a new parallel health system for ourselves and our communities.
I would like to end with an important quote from our R. Buckminster Fuller.
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete”.
