Terms Of Service

Canada Health Alliance (“CHA”) is a non-profit organization organized and incorporated under the laws of British Columbia, Canada. CHA provides access to health-related information, articles, peer-reviewed science, opinion pieces, e-learning courses, and events through its website, canadahealthalliance.org (the “Site”).

This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions governing the use of the Site and its services by you (“the Participant”). By registering an account, purchasing a membership, subscribing to our newsletter, reading the website, or using any services provided on the Site, you are entering into a binding and enforceable agreement to be bound by all terms herein.

1. Binding Terms and Changes

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Agreement. CHA reserves the right to change these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Site and become effective immediately. Your continued use of the Site following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Password Use and Security

Accounts and subscription access are for your exclusive use only. Sharing your User Name or Password is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your access without notice. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to notify CHA immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. CHA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.

3. Use of Content and e-Store Items

CHA grants registered users a non-transferable, non-exclusive, and revocable license to access Site content (Articles, News, Presentation Videos, Newsletters, Courses, and all other content) for personal, non-commercial use.

Restrictions: You may not sublicense, sell, or redistribute any portion of the restricted subscriber content or video courses without express written consent from CHA.

Attribution: If you print or share public-facing articles, you must include all copyright notices and a customary bibliographic citation including the author attribution and the URL canadahealthalliance.org.

Compliance: You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.

4. Fees, Recurring Subscriptions, and Donations

Subscriptions: By signing up for a membership, you agree to a recurring payment schedule. Cancellations can be made through your account dashboard at any time.

Third-Party Processing: All financial transactions, including memberships, course purchases, donations, store purchases, ticket purchases, are processed through a secure third-party processor. CHA does not store your credit card details.

Responsibility: You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account, including applicable taxes. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated for specific events or items.

5. Information Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Site is for general informational purposes only.

Nature of Information: Content on the Site includes third-party sources, peer-reviewed science, and opinion pieces. CHA provides this information in good faith but makes no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, validity, reliability, or completeness of any information provided.

No Professional Advice: No information on this Site should be construed as medical, legal, or professional advice.

Assumption of Risk: Your use of the Site and reliance on any information is solely at your own risk.

Liability Cap: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the liability of CHA, its directors, or officers for any legal claim connected to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to CHA (if any) in the duration of your membership or for the specific product preceding the claim. In no event shall CHA be liable for incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

6. Copyright

All original content, video courses, and branding are copyrighted by Canada Health Alliance ©. All rights reserved. You acknowledge that CHA (or its third-party contributors) is the sole owner of the intellectual property on the Site.

7. Term and Termination

This Agreement remains in effect while you maintain an account or continue using the website. CHA may discontinue or change any program or access at any time without notice. Violation of these terms will result in the immediate cessation of access to CHA servers and services.

8. Severability and Governing Law

If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. You agree that the sole jurisdiction for any actions arising under this Agreement shall be the courts located in British Columbia.

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, along with our Privacy Policy and any specific disclaimers posted on the Site, constitutes the entire agreement between you and CHA regarding your use of the Site.

Effective date: February 1, 2026
