Large COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Study Investigating the Biology Behind Serious Adverse Events

A PharmD employed at the University of British Columbia  (UBC) and the British Columbia Children’s Hospital Research Institute in partners with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention launched a study to investigate COVID-19 vaccine injuries, including incidence of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT)/thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), and myocarditis/pericarditis strongly associated (OR ≥ 3.0) with COVID-19 vaccination.  Launched in mid-2022, this study continues all the way till December 2025.
