Are We Choosing To Become The Borg?

May 22, 2026 - Alan Brough

Through decades of careful and patient ‘grooming’ the next generation is now willingly embracing the ‘benefits’ of “technical enhancement.” In their naivety they are excited about the idea of having a chip implanted directly into the brain to supposedly gain access to “all the knowledge in the world." But at what cost? Are we as a species, actually choosing to become The Borg without any understanding of the irreversible implications of it. Yip, It looks like we are...

Are We Choosing To Become The Borg?

From as early as I can remember, I have been fascinated by science fiction. I think it was all to do with my curiosity about what was really going on in the vastness of the Universe, who is really in control and what we were NOT being taught at school. My curiosity was always triggered by trying to see beyond the horizon and the limitations of our obviously tiny ‘human’ view of reality.

Consequently, I read as many Sci-Fi and astrophysics writers as I could find. Of all of them, the American television screenwriter and producer Gene Roddenberry, who created the series Star Trek, was my favourite. He was born in 1921 and premiered the first season of Star Trek in 1966.

Roddenberry, who died in 1991, was very committed to equality and social justice, which was remarkable considering the time he grew up in. Now, with the benefit of hindsight, he is viewed as a remarkably prophetic writer who seemed to have insight into the future and the choices humanity would have to make in order to ‘earn’ our place in the ‘Galactic Federation’ as true equals.

One of his great concerns was whether humanity would be able to manage and control the inevitable surge of technology and artificial intelligence, as described in Alvin Toffler’s ‘Third Wave’. Or whether we will instead sacrifice our long-term humanity for the enticing short-term gain of overly-attractive technical capabilities and our addiction to 24/7 connectivity.

To help warn us of the consequences of embracing technology without due care and consideration, Roddenberry showed us what the end result of such folly could be through ‘The Borg.’

The Borg are a cybernetic ‘race’ who assimilate whatever sentinel species they come across. They do this by removing all vestiges of individuality, empathy and emotion and replacing them with augmenting technology that ultimately turns them into perfectly obedient drones that are mindless slaves to the controlling ‘program.’

This mandatory ‘assimilation’ process starts with The Borg injecting microscopic machines into their victims that physically alter their bodies and minds. Then the victims are surgically augmented with mechanical implants to link them to the central ‘hive mind’ and enhance their physical abilities, such as improving their strength, vision, awareness etc.

Now, the reason why I think this is a relevant and topical discussion is because we, as humanity, are now in the early stage of this assimilation process, and through decades of careful and patient ‘grooming’ the next generation is willingly embracing the ‘benefits’ of “technical enhancement.” In their naivety (and engineered confusion) they are excited about the idea of having a chip implanted directly into the brain to give them a permanent biological connection to the ‘internet of things’ and to supposedly gain access to “all the knowledge in the world.”

But at what cost?

The cost inevitably will be the loss of free will (as the central ‘hive mind’ will dictate all your ideas, thoughts and ‘instincts’), empathy and individuality. Over time, those ‘superfluous’ characteristics will become weaker and weaker until they are completely gone. It will be at that point that we will have truly become ‘The Borg,’ whose only goal is to achieve perfection by assimilating the distinctiveness, technology, and knowledge of everyone they encounter. At that point, because of their overwhelming numbers and limitless technology, they will become unstoppable, hence their infamous motto: “Resistance is futile.”

The scary thing is that when we step back and consider what is currently being done to humanity, it all begins to sound ominously familiar…

  • Although it wasn’t articulated in exactly the same way, the message of mandatory compliance during the Covid-era was very much trying to embed the feeling that ‘resistance is futile,’ and even today after all this subtle ‘programming’ we feel as powerless as ever to stop the encroachment of ‘the New World Order’ which this technocracy is just one part of.
  • Since 2021, the majority of people on planet earth have been injected with an unknown and un-tested substance that many have claimed contained self-replicating and self-assembling nanotechnology. It is feared that this will trigger a process of alteration that is almost identical to how the Borg injects “microscopic machines” to ‘transform’ its victims.
  • Many people have reported changes in personality, a loss of empathy and a loss of ‘humanity’ in family members who have been heavily vaccinated and ‘boosted’ over the last six years. This is leading to questions and concerns about what is in these injections and what the actual end-game really is?
  • Bill Gates, Elon Musk and many of the other technocratic ‘Czar’s’ are strongly advocating for, and actively experimenting with, ‘surgically augmented mechanical implants.’ These include things like brain-chip implants, mechanical limbs, vision and auditory implants, etc, which are not for damage repair, but instead for intentional cybernetic enhancement.
  • We are told 6G, which is already nearing roll-out, is specifically being put in place to power AI and ensure the reliable functioning of robotics such as driverless vehicles, and classic robots such as Musk’s ‘Optimus’ which promise to do your vacuuming and pretty much anything else you ask it to do. However, given the level of nanotechnology already injected into people which is creating human antennas, the 6G platform is more likely to be the control-grid for the first generation of human-cyborg hybrids.

While no-one has actively said “I want to be assimilated and become a Borg,” it appears that we are going ahead and doing so as a species anyway.

This is likely due to naive curiosity; intentional subconscious indoctrination; a distorted view of freedom of choice and a lack of willingness to sufficiently think about the implications before the momentum overtakes us all, whereupon resistance will indeed be futile.

There is also the worrying implication of ‘implied consent’ and how it has been manipulated by law (and of course the healthcare ‘establishment’) over the last few decades. Implied consent is defined as “an agreement that is not explicitly stated or written, but rather inferred by a person’s actions, INACTION, or the surrounding circumstances. It occurs when an individual behaves in a way that would lead a reasonable person to believe they agree to something.” Basically what this is saying is that if you don’t complain about something, it can be reasonably assumed that you agreed to it.

So, bringing this back to the decision of whether we want to become (Cy) Borg or not, as noted above, it does not have to be an active decision. Instead, it is simply the ‘implied consent’ of the masses because they have chosen NOT to resist or stop the dark forces trying to impose its next devious plan to destroy God’s creation (i.e. us). This is why, for our own health and happiness, and the health and happiness of our children and grandchildren, we need to be aware of what is going on around us, and speak out against anything that has a dangerous long-term implication, and we need to do this to defend our very survival as a species.

To add a bit more credence to this theoretical debate, there is an interesting ‘time-traveler hypothesis’, also known as ‘Chrononaut UFO’s’, the Extratempestrial model or the Terminator theory. These all propose that unidentified flying objects are actually not aliens at all, but are humans from the future visiting us using advanced technology.

Some notable people have recently proposed this hypothesis, including retired NASA  aerospace engineer, Larry Lemke, Wisconsin representative, Mike Gallagher, and, of course, American filmmaker Steven Spielberg. These influential people are leading a school of thought that says that, tragically, our generation adopts cybernetics and as a result, over several generations, we lose our humanity, our empathy, our spiritual connection to God and our individuality. Essentially, we become The Borg. Now, having to live by the disastrous consequences of our stupidity, these future ‘human-hybrids’ are coming back in time to try to either find a way of regaining their humanity (hence the high level of ‘aliens abductions’) or to warn us not to irreversibly change our humanity (and theirs in the process).

It is intriguing to ponder these things. However, it is no longer an entertaining Sci-Fi movie script, and we are now right at the tipping point of ‘implied consent.’ If we do not wake up and realize the huge implication that our acquiescence could have on future generations, we could well be the last real humans…

As with all things in this war between Good and Evil, as Roddenberry warned us back in the 1980s and 1990s, if we are to preserve and pass on our health, our happiness and indeed our humanity, now is not the time for hesitance or self-doubt.
