Message From The Editor
Wow, did that feel like a long two weeks or what!?
I am so used to my whole life-schedule revolving around the deadlines for this newsletter and getting it out every week that I really felt quite lost with the changed schedule, so it is great to be back with you again this morning, at the start of this lovely Labour Day long weekend.
To celebrate the holiday we have a bumper edition for you today, and I hope you find the articles and updates interesting and informative. Please let us know what you think of them, and let us know if there are any particular topics you would like us to cover.
In fact over the next few weeks we will be e-mailing you a reader survey to get your detailed feed-back on the newsletter and how we can improve it for you, so please look out for it and be sure to send us back your comments, thoughts and suggestions.
I am also pleased to let you know that our new CHA Newsletter Committee has been formed and has started taking over a lot of the roles and responsibilities for the newsletter, which is fantastic. I would like to thank all of the members of the committee especially Stephen, Barry, Patricia, Lynda and Alan (C) for taking on this very important work.
And, while I will still be involved (albeit to a much lesser degree), I would also like to thank you for all your loyalty, support and contributions since I took on the task of writing, researching and publishing the CHA newsletter, way back in about 2022.
It certainly has been an incredible experience for me and a real privilege to serve you, our wonderful Canada Health Alliance members.
Now, as I face some real significant changes in my life and my circumstances, and I wonder where I will end up as these next few transitional months take their course, I am reminded of the passage from Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 8, which I will leave with you to ponder on your own personal journey and, of course, this manic roller-coaster we all find ourselves on… “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Thank you.
Alan Brough
CHA Director – alan.brough@canadahealthalliance.org
Now, to make sure that you don’t fail me or abandon me, please subscribe to my new substack where I am continuing to post my own articles, thoughts and rants at: https://substack.com/@alanbrough1

Quote of the Week
“The elite meticulously engineer culture wars so the starving peasants violently butcher each other over trivial, fabricated differences.
As long as the slaves are completely soaked in each other’s blood, the master’s castle remains completely untouched.”
Hunter S. Thompson

Wins of the Week
This last week we have seen a good selection of wins coming out of both the United States and Canada, although most of them were hardly reported on by the main stream media, which was so focused instead on heightening the level of public fear and panic…
- With all the financial doom and gloom distracting us, it was announced last weekend that Alberta’s fiscal fortunes have actually taken a dramatic turn for the better over the last three months. The province’s first-quarter fiscal update now projects a surplus of more than $2 billion, a stunning reversal from the $9.4 billion deficit forecast in Budget 2026. It was announced that natural resource revenue for the province is up $9.7 billion more than expected! “This is good news for Alberta and for Alberta’s future… It means we’re on the path to the province’s sixth consecutive surplus year,” Alberta’s Finance Minister Jason Nixon said.
- In another financial win for all Canadians, on Wednesday the federal government announced that it will be extending its suspension of the excise tax on gasoline and diesel until early 2027, after the tax holiday was set to expire this coming Monday. “This means continued saving of 10 cents per litre on gasoline and four cents per litre on diesel…” Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne told reporters in Ottawa.
- On Wednesday, the Bank of Canada held its key interest rate steady at 2.25% for a seventh consecutive meeting. While it warned that higher oil prices and tariffs are putting increased upward pressure on inflation, at least for the moment, struggling Canadian families won’t have to face additional borrowing costs that no-one can afford right now.
- Last weekend, New Brunswick announced that it is introducing a ban on phone and tablet use at public schools for students at all grade levels, saying the policy aims to reduce distractions and limit exposure to social media. Social media will also be blocked on all school networks and devices in the province with immediate effect. In a separate news release from New Brunswick Public Schools, Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Claire Johnson says the new policy would additionally apply to smartwatches, earbuds and headphones, tablets, cameras, and other devices capable of communicating or recording. Students are also not permitted to use devices to photograph or record students or staff, which would be a violation of school district policy. Over the last year, Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia have also begun restricting mobile phone access and use in schools.
- The planet is not getting hotter as the ‘climate change’ advocates would have you believe, and this has now been proven from the actual data from 1,200 weather stations across the United States reporting on changes over the last 100 years. According to a recently published report by former University of Alabama climatologist John Christy, the data doesn’t show an increase in extreme temperatures; rather, they indicate that temperatures have become more moderate over the past century. “We have the systematic measurements in the United States that show the extremes of the 1920s, ’30s and ’50s in terms of heat were much greater than the ones currently,” Christy said. We just believe that the world is burning up and this is causing spontaneous fires because of the coordinated media reporting that is hyping-up this completely unnecessary public panic. You can read Christy’s full report as published in ‘Theoretical and Applied Climatology’ at https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00704-026-06200-3#Sec2
- The U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr. recently announced that more than 26,000 American commercial farmers have formally applied to transition to regenerative agriculture. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has allocated $700 million to help conventional farmers make the switch. This response has been the largest the agency has ever seen. Regenerative agriculture is extremely important because it can rebuild depleted soil, improve water retention, and produce more nutrient-dense food. It also reduces farmers’ dependence on costly Big Ag chemical fertilizer, weed-killer and pesticide inputs, and gives them access to foreign markets that restrict American produce because of their high chemical use. This massive response and interest in regenerative farming shows that many farmers want healthier soil, stronger farms, and healthier families. Hopefully, as the U.S. continues to embrace this shift, so too will we in Canada.
- In an announcement made last week, U.S. President Donald Trump said, “Ranchers and Farmers have always been a number one priority for me. They work very hard, are smart, efficient, and immaculately CLEAN, but for years I have heard that they have had a tremendous problem with the Big Processors, who many say are a nasty Monopoly. There are, essentially, 4 of them, a very non competitive number, and they make life miserable for our wonderful Farmers and Ranchers, and I can’t let that happen, can I? So, in order to break this powerful monopoly, with much of its ownership based outside of the U.S., I am authorizing legal documents to be drawn in order to allow Farmers and Ranchers to be given the right to PROCESS THEIR OWN FOOD. This should move quickly.” This is very encouraging as it is the beginning of Trump’s next move against ‘Big Agriculture’ which is another one of the great big monopolies that have a strangle-hold on both food production and food distribution, neither of which are good for free enterprise or consumer value.

Here We Go Again – Moderna’s Next “Miracle Cure”
A few weeks ago, Moderna, in the words of the Brownstone Institute, “reprised its Covid-era flimflammery with an exuberant press release, this time strongly hinting that it has found a cure for cancer that involves both AI and mRNA technology. It’s hard to believe that the markets went for this like a trout to a fly on the water. It’s embarrassing because we know how this ends.”
Of course, the incisive Brownstone Institute is absolutely correct. We know this is just another bold play to boost their corporate and shareholder profit at the expense of genuine public health. On the back of Moderna’s announcement, the memes started to circulate on social media, stating that, “Moderna just released an mRNA cancer vaccine to stop the cancer pandemic caused by their Covid mRNA vaccines. And people are hailing this as a monumental medical breakthrough!” As the memes point out, the whole thing is ludicrous and can only be taken as some grand joke, were it not so tragic.
And, considering how Moderna lied about their Covid ‘vaccine’, we can expect more of the same this time around. As noted in the Brownstone commentary on this:
“All these years later, people are looking back at the original claims of 95 percent effectiveness of the Covid shots and finding hundreds of very strange anomalies. It’s not just that the reporting was sketchy; it reported only relative numbers, while the absolute numbers were far less impressive. It’s also about the handling of the tests themselves, sent to their own labs and managed exclusively by their own teams.
And the public claims themselves in retrospect were absurd, such as the one that the original formula would be effective against any mutation, which was echoed by Anthony Fauci without any evidence. And now we know from the diaries that Fauci knew from very early on that the shots would be dead on arrival due to the normal evolution of any respiratory virus.
Here we are 6 years later and the same people are still pushing the same routines. Hopefully, this time the public will act on its hard-learned lessons: these companies are up to no good, more focused on rising stock valuations than anything that could be called public health… These meds are of grave consequence to the flourishing of human life itself. The public has a right to know.”
Meanwhile, we can take some encouragement in the fact that it is a different world today and people, having been forced to witness the declining health of their friends and family who so willingly lined up for Covid shots, are now far less naive than they once were.

Announcing Our NEXT CHA Training Course!
A Better Way To Navigate Conflict & Find A Path to Greater Health, Freedom and Joy
In this very educational and empowering three-part training course, you will learn how to control conflict and turn it into a tool for self-discovery by understanding it, resolving it, and moving through it when resolution isn’t possible.
Following on from our May 26th CHA-VCC National Call with Myriam which was titled, ‘Conflicts and Health: Perspectives from a Mediator’, this three-part course will provide an opportunity to explore in greater depth the concepts, tools and real-life examples introduced during that presentation.
Drawing from her experience as a lawyer and mediator, as well as from significant conflicts in her own life, Myriam Bohémier will explore the nature of conflict and what makes it so difficult to experience and resolve. We will examine the role our beliefs, perceptions and frames of reference play in conflict, and how they influence the way we interpret the same facts very differently.
We will then look beneath the conflict itself. What emotions, needs and interests are being expressed? What lies beneath the positions people defend? Understanding what is really at stake can fundamentally change the way we approach both the conflict and the person in front of us.
This Canada Health Alliance course will explore different tools and approaches to conflict resolution and how they can help us take responsibility for our own experience, communicate differently and create the conditions for resolution.
Finally, we will address the conflicts that cannot be resolved. What can we do when changing the other person or reaching a mutual resolution is simply not possible? How can we move through a conflict without allowing it to determine our state of being? This final part will explore tools for letting go of what does not belong to us, taking responsibility for what does, and finding greater freedom even when the conflict itself remains unresolved.
Through personal stories and examples drawn from mediation practice, this course invites participants not only to better understand and resolve conflict, but also to discover what conflict can teach us about ourselves.

PRESENTERS BIO:
Myriam Bohémier has been a lawyer for 26 years and an accredited mediator for 11 years. She served as a Commissioner with the National Citizens Inquiry, examining the question of whether children are safe in Canada, and is a member of the legal team of the Allison Inquiry. She is also a speaker, author, and member of the Board of Directors of the Canada Health Alliance.
Myriam is also a karateka. In karate, we thank our opponent for making us better. Over the years, the conflicts she has faced in her own life have made her better, leading her to explore the art of communication: listening, naming what needs to be named, and taking responsibility for our own state of being. Taking this responsibility is essential to being free.
Her work as a mediator has profoundly transformed her. Beyond the words and positions expressed in a conflict, mediation is about connecting with the human being in front of us and discovering the needs they are expressing through the conflict, in order to help them find their own solution.

Fall Is Almost Upon Us, And That Has Already Triggered The Annual Theatre of ‘Flu Jab’ Compliance
Well, school is now back in session, and although the kids have only been back in class for a few days, it is enough to start stirring up all those fears of the inevitable ‘germ sharing’ and the endless bouts of colds and flu that kids seem to catch in the confines of their classrooms and playgrounds.
But instead of going back to the traditional ways of dealing with colds and flu that our grandmother taught us, these days we are pressurized to the extreme to roll-up our sleeves once again and take whatever ‘flu shot’ they have concocted for us!
A few days ago, Australian health critique, researcher and writer Ian Brighthope wrote about this “annual theatre of ‘flu jab’ compliance” on his substack. The article is very pertinent to us here in Canada so, with full credit to Ian, here are the key points he makes…
“Every winter, the same dull propaganda machine lurches back to life.
The posters go up. The pharmacy banners flap in the window. The government slogans return like seasonal mould.
Employers begin their polite little pressure campaigns. Media outlets dutifully repeat the script. And the public is told, once again, to roll up its sleeve and call it responsibility.
But responsibility to whom? To health? To evidence? To informed consent? Or to a system that has learned how to convert fear, obedience and medical marketing into public policy?
The annual flu jab is not a fortress. It is not durable immunity. It is not comprehensive winter protection. It is not some sacred act of civic virtue. It is a short-lived, strain-dependent, seasonally reformulated product aimed at a virus that keeps changing. Its performance varies. Its benefits are often modest. Its failures are quietly excused. Its limitations are buried beneath slogans. And it can kill. And still, every year, the machinery demands reverence.
That is the flu jab illusion. A limited intervention has been dressed up as a public health commandment. A product with variable effectiveness has been elevated into a moral test. A personal medical decision has been dragged into the theatre of social compliance.
Take it, and you are responsible.
Question it, and you are difficult.
Decline it, and you are selfish. This is not medicine. This is manipulation.
The public is rarely spoken to like adults. It is not told plainly enough that flu vaccine effectiveness depends on strain matching, age, immune function, timing and the unpredictable behaviour of circulating viruses. It is not told loudly enough that many winter illnesses are not influenza. It is not told honestly enough that vaccinated people can still get sick, still spread respiratory infections, and still end up in hospital.
Instead, it gets bumper-sticker public health. “Get protected.” “Do your part.” “Protect the vulnerable.” These are not explanations. They are behavioural commands dressed in warm language. They do not invite thought. They do not encourage informed consent. They herd.
And that is the real political genius of the flu jab campaign. It turns a weak and imperfect tool into a loyalty ritual.
It allows governments to pretend they have a winter health policy. It allows employers to parade cheap virtue. It allows pharmacies to wrap commerce in the language of care. It allows bureaucrats to count injections and call it prevention.
But dose counts are not health. Compliance is not immunity. Marketing is not science. And a needle is not a national health strategy.
A serious health system would talk about nutrition, sunlight, vitamin D, metabolic disease, obesity, frailty, ventilation, sleep, early treatment, aged-care neglect and the shattered state of population resilience. It would ask why so many people enter winter inflamed, deficient, exhausted, overmedicated and immunologically fragile.
But that would require courage.
It would require honesty.
It would require confronting the deeper failures of modern health policy.
So instead, the bureaucracy reaches for its favourite answer: another campaign, another slogan, another jab, another winter of managed obedience.
The annual flu jab may have a place for some people, particularly those at higher risk, after honest individual advice. But it does not belong on a pedestal. It does not deserve religious treatment. It should not be used as a badge of virtue or a weapon of social pressure.
It is not the foundation of winter health. It is not a substitute for genuine prevention. It is not proof that you care.
It is a seasonal product of limited and variable effectiveness that has been politically inflated beyond recognition. And until we say that plainly, public health will continue doing what it now does best: overselling weak interventions, ignoring root causes, moralizing personal choices, and mistaking obedience for health.
The flu jab illusion must end.
Not because every person must refuse it. But because every person deserves the truth before being pressured to accept it.”
So, now that we know that the good old ‘flu shots’ aren’t what they are cracked up to be, the question remains, exactly what can we do about all that “‘germ sharing’ and the endless bouts of colds and flu that kids seem to catch in the confines of their classrooms and playgrounds”?
Well, read on!

Cold and Flu Season is Here: Practical Tips To Prevent & Limit Viral Upper Respiratory Illnesses
The air across Canada is starting to get cooler and the geese are beginning to gather for their migration south. Yes, Fall is approaching and, with the kids having gone back to school, we can expect the imminent onset of ‘Cold and Flu Season.’
Earlier this week, Dr. Peter A. McCullough posted a very good, brief article detailing what the “common cold” actually is and whether antibiotics really work to treat the unpleasant symptoms of these all too common infections.
He writes:
“The common cold” is a clinical catch-all for upper respiratory infections caused by a rotating cast of viruses. Its very name invites dismissal — but the fact that modern medicine still cannot cure it after centuries speaks to a biological cleverness that humbles pharmaceutical hubris.
The Top Five Culprits
- Rhinovirus — The heavyweight champion, responsible for 30–50% of all colds. Over 160 serotypes ensure perpetual reinfection; immunity to one means nothing against the others.
- Coronavirus (endemic strains, not SARS-CoV-2) — Four seasonal human coronaviruses (229E, NL63, OC43, HKU1) account for roughly 15% of colds, peaking in winter.
- Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) — A major player in adult colds but notorious for hitting infants and the elderly with bronchiolitis.
- Parainfluenza Virus — Types 1–4 produce the classic “cold” picture in adults while driving croup in children.
- Adenovirus — The versatile offender capable of pharyngitis, conjunctivitis, and gastrointestinal symptoms alongside standard cold presentation.
Transmission: What You’re Actually Dealing With
These viruses spread through three primary routes:
- Droplet — Coughing and sneezing launch virus-laden particles that land on mucosal surfaces. A single sneeze produces ~40,000 droplets traveling at ~100 mph.
- Fomite — Rhinovirus survives hours on doorknobs, phones, keyboards. You touch, you transfer to eyes/nose/mouth, you’re infected. This is arguably the dominant route for rhinovirus specifically.
- Direct contact — Handshakes, hugs, close-quarters conversations. Skin-to-skin then skin-to-face.
Incubation is typically 24–72 hours. Peak contagiousness occurs during the first 2–3 days of symptoms. Even though there may be more congestion on days 5-7, there is less spread. The average adult logs 2–4 colds annually; children in daycare can hit 6–8.
Antibiotics: When to Actually Pull the Trigger
Antibiotics do nothing against viruses. Full stop. Yet they’re prescribed for colds at alarming rates — a practice driven more by patient expectation and physician convenience than evidence.
Legitimate indications for antibiotics:
- Suspected bacterial sinusitis — Consider antibiotics when symptoms persist beyond 10 days without improvement, or when there’s a “double-worsening” pattern (improvement then sudden deterioration). Purulent discharge alone is not sufficient — it occurs in viral sinusitis too. High fever, unilateral facial pain, and dental pain strengthen the case.
- Suspected bacterial bronchitis — True bacterial bronchitis in previously healthy adults is rare. Consider antibiotics only when cough persists beyond 2–3 weeks with purulent sputum, fever, and systemic symptoms, after ruling out pertussis. COPD patients warrant a lower threshold.
The CDC’s own data suggests roughly 30% of outpatient antibiotic prescriptions are unnecessary. The collateral damage — gut microbiome disruption, selection pressure for resistant organisms — is real and cumulative.
A cold is miserable; C. difficile colitis is life-threatening. The calculus should be obvious!”
So What Does The CHA Board of Director’s Recommend For Colds and Flu?
With these risks and the likelihood of negative side-effects especially to your gut, it is worth considering other more natural ways of dealing with seasonal colds and flu.
We asked the Canada Health Alliance Board of Director’s what they personally recommend and they had a lot of varied recommendations which are well worth considering:
CHA President Dr. Dorle Kneifel: My go-to in northern latitudes is three days of high dose Vitamin D (50-100K daily), increasing my rest, opening my thought matrix to invite connection to Source’s higher frequency input. I also cultivate curiosity and ask myself, why this now?
Dr. Barry Breger has been studying the whole phenomenon of “the common cold” for decades. As detailed in his excellent ‘How to Prepare For Flu Season’ training course which he presented about a year ago now, he recommends taking high doses of Vitamin C and Vitamin D as soon as the first symptoms appear which will usually stop the onset of symptoms in their tracks. However, his approach to so-called viral illness is much more than high dose Vitamins C and D.
His quick overview is “Rest, relax and make room for yourself.” He goes on to explain:
- Food: stop eating. Liquid fasting is good or a light liquid diet, low in refined sugars of course as well as protein, fats and otherwise hard to digest foods. Digesting fats and proteins is energy intensive, energy that we need to heal. There is nothing like home-made chicken soup – or a vegetable soup – if desired.
- If you have sinus or lung issues – inhalation therapy is good. We used to put a 3/4 medium pot of just boiled water on the kitchen table, add a dash of Vick’s Vapo Rub (or equivalent essential oils like eucalyptus and peppermint), cover our head with a towel at the table, lean over the pot and carefully do inhalations as tolerated. Be careful though as it is hot, but really good for unblocking sinuses. You can also sit in the bathroom on the closed toilet seat with the door closed, run a super hot shower and breath the steam generated for 10-15 minutes. Humidity is better than the too dry air of our winter in heated houses. I would suggest a wet towel draped over the back of a chair in the bedroom to increase humidity levels overnight if you don’t have a humidifier available.
Supplements that are helpful include:
- Vitamin C, 1-2 gms (1,000-2,000 mgm) or more each 1-2 hours while awake (There is well over 1/2 century of research and use of high dose Vitamin C). Excess Vitamin C causes loose stools. This is called “bowel tolerance.” It is best to increase the dose to just below bowel tolerance. Take enough to cause loose stools, then decrease. Bowel tolerance increases with the severity of a disease. More severe disease results in a higher tolerated dosage before loose stools appear. Decrease the dose and/or the frequency if loose stools appear. High dose Vitamin C poses no danger. Vitamin C experts talk of a 20 gm cold, a 40 gm flu, a 50 or more gm pneumonia and a 100 gm cancer. Too much will lead to loose stools. Decrease gradually according to how you feel and stool quality as you improve.
- Vitamin D 50,000 IU twice a day for five days.
- Vitamin A drops 50,000 IU (5 drops) twice a day for 3-5 days.
- Zinc gluconate lozenges (13-23 mg of elemental zinc/lozenge) four to six times a day, for a few days (apparently this does not work for children).
- Echinacea and Goldenseal – follow instructions on the bottle.
Dr. Stephen Malthouse: Homeopathy has numerous remedies for colds and flus in all its various manifestations, e.g. Aconite, Belladonna, Pulsatilla, Gelsemium, Allium cepa, Rhus toxicodendron, Hepar sulph, etc.
Oscillococcinum might work for you if the symptom picture fits (although this particular remedy is really based on theory) or as a prophylactic (many take on airplanes).
Autopathy allows you to spit into a glass beaker and potentize your saliva (as a representation of the body’s response). Acupuncture diagnoses and treats the disturbance in Chi circulation. These are generally not suppressive approaches.
There is plenty about homeopathy and colds on the internet. Or consider taking my upcoming “Hands-On Homeopathy” course which starts on September 14th and runs for three weeks. To find out more about this course and how to enrol, email me at: smalthouse@protonmail.com and include ‘Hands-On Homeopathy course’ in the subject line.
Patricia Rust: My cold and flu advice is simple: when you feel that first little “uh-oh”, a runny nose, scratchy throat or sinus headache, give your body a break and keep things light. An overnight or a 24-30 hour fast, or simply choosing light foods such as oranges and salad, can be a nice way to avoid overburdening the body while it gets on with the important job of looking after you!
Lynda McLeod: As a result of the education l have participated in at CHA, when my body tells me I’m very tired—much like Patricia’s advice—I stop. I have adopted the following steps:
- I take Oscillococcinum – Stephen’s Homeopathy course
- I take 1000mg of vitamin C til bowel tolerance- Barry’s course on colds
- I take high doses of vitamin D – Dorle’s presentation
- I’ve also adopted a remedy from my daughter, who is an herbalist: a cup of tea with garlic and honey.
- Then l take my own advice: slip into an Epsom salt bath and put myself to bed.
Myriam Bohémier: I use what we call a “living embalming,” made with a blend of essential oils, to stop a cold as soon as it starts. I rub it all over my body, especially on the soles of my feet, which are reflexology points.
For sore throats and coughs, I dilute a few drops of Tei-Fu, a Chinese herbal remedy, in honey and take it orally.
I also use peppermint essential oil for headaches.
When I’m sick, I also increase my vitamin A intake for a few days.
Alan Brough: When it comes to protecting young children who are busy sharing viruses at school, I recommend the Vital Health ‘Einstein Kids Range’ which are natural supplements specially designed for kids. The top two products I recommend for kids are ‘Smart Biotics’ which is a mango-flavoured blend of probiotics, digestive enzymes and Lion’s Mane mushroom, and ‘D-FENZ’ which is a refreshing lime-flavoured immune and energy support drink packed with Vitamins C and D (as recommended above), zinc, niacin, magnesium and turmeric extract.
I believe in these products because of the positive feed-back from parents who buy these products at our wellness centre here in Edmonton.
If you would like to access the recording of Dr. Breger’s ‘How to Prepare For Flu Season’ training session, or if you would like more information on either the Chinese herbal remedy Tei-Fu, or the Vital Health natural supplement range mentioned above, contact Alan at alan.brough@canadahealthalliance.org

Book of the Week
Aging Like a Fine Fiddle
By Long Time Health Freedom Advocate and CHA Member DENA CHURCHILL
I am delighted to have Aging Like a Fine Fiddle featured as the Canada Health Alliance Book of the Week this week.
I wrote the book for both men and women who want to remain strong, vital and engaged as they age. At its heart, this book explores the difference between healthcare and sickness care—and the philosophies underlying each. One asks how we treat disease once it appears; the other asks how we cultivate the conditions in which health can flourish. Modern medicine may excel in emergencies and intervention, while the nurturing traditions historically associated with matriarchal cultures remind us of prevention, nourishment, relationship and stewardship of both human health and the Earth. I believe we need the wisdom of both.
The book blends current health research with more than three decades of clinical experience, personal stories, neurology-based exercises and a little humour in every chapter. It also gently touches on some of the more difficult conversations in healthcare—including vaccines, MAID, GMOs and glyphosate, cell-phone radiation and blue light. Readers certainly don’t have to agree with every perspective; my intention is to encourage curiosity, respectful discussion and informed decision-making.
For practitioners, I think it may be useful to read personally or to recommend to patients who want to take a more active role in their health. It offers practical ideas while opening conversations that can sometimes be difficult to begin in a general clinical setting.
Thank you again. I appreciate CHA helping to bring thoughtful health conversations to a wider audience.

Of this remarkable book, Peter McDonald, author of ‘We Are Salt’, writes…
“Aging Like a Fine Fiddle is a thoughtful and inspiring book that encourages readers to see aging in a new light. Rather than focusing on revolutionary medical discoveries, its greatest strength is changing our perception of growing older—from a process of decline to one of growth, wisdom, and refinement.
The fiddle metaphor is original, memorable, and woven beautifully throughout the book, giving it warmth and personality.
While many of the health principles are familiar, the book offers genuine encouragement and reminds us that our later years can become some of the richest and most meaningful of our lives.”
